Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of briefd (“the Service”), operated by Rajat Agarwal (“we”, “our”, “us”) at getbriefed.in. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms in full. If you do not agree, do not use briefd.
What briefd Does
briefd is an executive relationship intelligence tool. It connects to your Google account (Gmail, Calendar, Drive) with your explicit permission, analyses your interaction history with specific contacts, and generates a structured pre-meeting briefing document.
The Service is designed for professional use by senior executives managing long-term business relationships. It is not a sales automation tool, a CRM, or a surveillance tool.
Eligibility
- ✦You must be at least 18 years old to use briefd.
- ✦You must have the legal authority to grant briefd access to any Google account you connect.
- ✦You may not use briefd on behalf of a person or organisation without appropriate authorisation.
Your Account
- ✦You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and session.
- ✦You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- ✦You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
- ✦We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use briefd to:
- ✦Access, aggregate, or analyse data belonging to other people without their knowledge or consent.
- ✦Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
- ✦Circumvent any rate limits, security measures, or access controls.
- ✦Use briefd in any way that violates applicable law, including privacy and data protection laws.
- ✦Resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties without our written consent.
- ✦Use automated scripts to generate briefings in bulk or scrape data from the Service.
Google Data
By connecting your Google account, you authorise briefd to access Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Drive with read-only permissions. You represent that you have the right to grant this access for the account you connect.
briefd will only access Google data to generate briefings you explicitly request. We do not access your Google data in the background or for any purpose other than briefing generation.
You can revoke briefd's access to your Google account at any time from Google Account settings. This will not delete existing briefings already generated.
WhatsApp Uploads
If you upload a WhatsApp chat export to briefd, you represent that you are a participant in those conversations and have the right to share the content for personal productivity purposes. Do not upload conversations involving parties who have not consented to data processing.
AI-Generated Content
Briefings are generated by an AI system (Anthropic Claude) and may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or misinterpretations. You acknowledge that:
- ✦AI-generated briefings are informational aids, not authoritative factual records.
- ✦You should verify any critical facts before relying on them in a business context.
- ✦We are not responsible for decisions made based on AI-generated briefing content.
- ✦Web search results included in briefings reflect publicly available information at the time of generation and may become outdated.
Intellectual Property
The briefd platform, including its code, design, and AI prompting systems, is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service.
Briefings generated for you remain yours. You own the output documents and may use, share, or export them freely.
Availability and Changes
- ✦We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service.
- ✦We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, with or without notice.
- ✦We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
- ✦We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes to these Terms via email or in-app notice.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, briefd is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or business decisions made in reliance on briefd's output.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless briefd and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
